Project Description
Tamarack Nature Center is a 320-acre park preserve located in White Bear Township, MN. In 2009, we embarked on a project to provide opportunities for visitors to develop a relationship with nature through a variety of means. These include:
- Water Ways play stream
- Children’s Orchard
- Discovery Garden
- Garden House that is partially energized via unique solar-powered petals
- Maple Syrup Evaporator
- Solar (Photovoltaic) power to the facility
- High efficiency lighting
- Lighting controls
- Water to demonstration exhibits via wind mill
